Wimbledon 2026 Requires New App Registration to Buy Queue Tickets
The Championships run 29 June to 12 July, with a major change: all visitors must download the Wimbledon app and create a myWIMBLEDON account before joining the famous Queue to purchase tickets.
Wimbledon 2026 takes place from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July at the All England Club in SW19, with the Ladies' Singles Final on Saturday 11 July and the Gentlemen's Singles Final on Sunday 12 July. For the first time, all guests must download the Wimbledon app and create a myWIMBLEDON account before attending, as this account will be required to purchase a ticket and will be scanned at point of sale.
The Queue and Ticket Prices
The Queue for The Championships 2026 will start at 2pm on Sunday 28 June, and visitors should not arrive before this time. A daily Queue offers limited Show Court and Grounds tickets, sold at one per person and non-transferable, with the Queue beginning the evening before and increasing very early in the morning.
In 2026, tickets range from £55 for seats on Court 3 towards the beginning of the tournament to £350 for Centre Court finals seats, with Grounds Passes priced at £33 for the first eight days, falling to £26 for days nine to 11, and £21 for the final three days. It's possible to join the queue after 5pm for late entry, when Grounds Passes are slightly cheaper and the queue should move swiftly as many morning visitors will be leaving.
Practical Tips for Overseas Visitors
The Queue is a fun tradition for students and locals, but for a US or international visitor with a fixed itinerary, spending 8+ hours in a line with no guarantee of entry is usually not the right choice. The queue is open to UK and overseas visitors, and there are toilet facilities in Wimbledon Park, along with food outlets, refill water stations and first aid provision.
If you're a foreigner hoping to attend Wimbledon, register for the myWIMBLEDON app now before you travel — it's mandatory for ticket purchases. The Queue is an authentic British experience, but be realistic about the time commitment (many people queue from the early hours). If tennis is a must-see during your UK stay, consider the Grounds Pass option or later afternoon entry rather than hoping for Show Court tickets on popular days. Check the official wimbledon.com Queue status before travelling.
