Once a year, the biggest hip-hop party in the country takes place under the mighty bucket-wheel excavators on the Ferropolis peninsula. For one weekend, tranquil Saxony-Anhalt becomes not only the site of the world's largest permanent moshpit, but home base for the reunion of the hip-hop scene.
The splash! Festival runs from July 2 to 4 in Ferropolis, sold out, with 178 acts across eleven stages. Already on Thursday, Gunna will set the Main Stage on fire, followed by Quavo on Friday and Bonez & Friends closing out the event. splash is laser-focused on hip-hop and rap, blending US trap with Germany's scene on one site. The genre-exclusive focus paired with the Ferropolis backdrop sets it apart from big multi-genre festivals.
